A wishlist is a feature which allows buyers to save items they are interested in, but not ready to purchase. Wishlists are a feature on every large ecommerce/marketplace platform, and for good reason. Wishlisting benefits you by increasing buyer loyalty and providing you with insights on what customers are looking to buy.
Resources which have been wishlisted are also far more likely to appear in cross-sell locations across the site such as on the cart page. Read more here: Cross-sells
By viewing the Analytics tab on your resource product page you can see a log of all users who have recently wishlisted your product.
Sometimes users add a resource to their wishlist to wait for it to go on sale, so if you have many people wishlisting your resource it may be a good indication that you should start a sale event! When a sale event is created, wishlisters will be automatically emailed to let them know that your resource has gone on sale and that they should buy it now which performs great for our creators.
