Publishing your creations to BuiltByBit doesn’t mean you need to give up control of your creations, or who you sell them to. We’ve developed our access restrictions to ensure that you keep this control and provide you with the tools necessary to limit distribution of your resources to only the people that you want to allow.
Sometimes there’s just certain users that you don’t want to deal with, and that’s okay. You can enter their usernames in this field and they’ll never be able to purchase the resource, regardless of if they meet your other restrictions.
If you offer resources that have a hard dependency on another one of your products, you can require that the user own the dependant resource first.
Beyond these, there are also other more simple restrictions you can introduce, including:
If enabled, manual processing will replace the purchase button with a button to start an onsite conversation with you rather than entirely disallowing them to purchase. This can be handy if you would like to know more from a buyer before they make a purchase, and then have them buy once you allow them to.
If you’d like to take it a step further and entirely hide your resource from displaying in any of our discoverability features to anyone, you can choose to unlist your resource. Unlisting your resource still allows current buyers and anyone with the link to access the page. To unlist, navigate to the ‘Advanced’ tab when editing your resource and change the state to ‘Unlisted’.
